Ein Geist sucht eine trauernde Frau heim: Es ist ihr kürzlich verstorbener Ehemann. Er möchte bei ihr sein und sie trösten, lebt bei ihr im Haus und fühlt sich an diesen Ort gebunden. Doch zusehends führt seine Frau ihr Leben ohne ihn weiter. Es wird immer klarer: Beide müssen einander loslassen. Schließlich gelingt ihm der Abschied. Er geht auf eine lange Reise und lernt, was es heißt, zu lieben und geliebt zu werden - über den Tod hinaus.
