Grantige Vögel kämpfen mit Schleudern gegen fiese Schweine: Das simple Spiel für Handys und Computer machte 2009 alle süchtig und wurde nun in Spielfilmlänge verfilmt. Das Resultat ist überraschend unterhaltsam. Red, der große rote Vogel mit der riesigen Augenbraue, versaut auf „Bird Island“ seinen Job als Kinderunterhalter. Also soll er seinen Ärger mit einer Therapeutin in den Griff kriegen. Doch dann sorgt ein Schiff voller grüner Schweinchen für Aufregung: Die knubbeligen Viecher hauen mit allen Vogeleiern ab und hinterlassen eine Horde bunter wie stinksaurer Vögel, die alles tun, um ihre Gelege wiederzurückzuholen …
