Weil Mrs. Barkley plötzlich eine Karriere im drama-tischen Fach anstrebt, zerstreitet sich das populäre Tänzer-Ehepaar Barkley (Ginger Rogers, Fred Astaire) nach vielen erfolgreichen Jahren im Showgeschäft.
