London 1893. Der Schriftsteller und Erfinder H. G. Wells (“Uhrwerk Orange” Malcolm McDowell) entdeckt, daß sein Freund Dr. Stevenson (David Warner) Jack the Ripper ist. Er heftet sich kurzerhand an die Fersen des Killers und folgt ihm per Zeitmaschine ins Jahr 1979, um weitere Bluttaten zu verhindern. Spannend, phantasievoll und amüsant.
